These terms apply to your use of graveldrivewaycalculator.com (“Gravel Driveway Calculator”, “the site”). By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the calculators or guides.

1. Estimates only, no guarantee

The calculators, tables and guides are provided for planning and general information. Their results are estimates, and actual quantities and costs can differ, because:

  • Material density varies. Stone from different quarries, or the same stone wet and dry, weighs different amounts for the same volume. The densities on this site are planning values, not measurements of your material.
  • Sites vary. Uneven ground, soft soil, compaction and spreading losses all change how much material a job uses.
  • Prices vary. Costs are calculated only from the prices you enter. Example prices in guides illustrate the arithmetic and are not quotes or market rates.
  • General guidance is not a design. Information about depth, layers, soil and materials is general. It is not engineering, construction or professional advice for your project.

2. Your responsibility

You are responsible for checking your measurements, quantities, material specifications, prices and delivery arrangements with your supplier, and the design of your driveway with a qualified local contractor where needed, before you order or build.

3. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and its operator are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the site or reliance on its results, including:

  • differences between an estimate and the quantity or cost actually delivered or charged;
  • overages, shortages, extra deliveries, restocking or return charges; and
  • rutting, settlement, drainage problems or other failures of work planned using the site.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

4. Errors and changes

We work to keep the calculators correct and test them before each release (see the methodology), but we can’t guarantee the site is free of errors or always available. We may change or remove any part of the site. Please report errors; confirmed fixes are listed in the changelog.

5. Using the site and its content

You may use the calculators for personal and professional project estimates, and link to any page. The text, design and code of the site belong to its operator. Please don’t copy or republish substantial parts of the content or the calculator code, or scrape the site, without written permission.
